Access Pathways

We offer a range of bespoke Level 2 Pathways that are being updated for 2024/25. Students joining us on a Level 2 programme will have the choice of three pathways:

• Access to A-Level/T-Level: This pathway is designed to help you to be ready to study Level 3 courses the following year. It includes resit GCSE English and Maths, an independent project qualification, and a customised qualification to prepare you for the A-Level or T-Level subjects you want to study the next September. These customised courses will also help you gain access to more A-Level courses in our Sixth Form through studying material that will improve your chances of being accepted.
• Access to Work or Apprenticeships: Where the A-Level / T-Level pathway focuses on academic study, the Work or Apprenticeships pathways focus on building employability skills. Students can select from a huge range of self-study units from Health and Site Safety, to Hair and Beauty therapies, Gardening and horticulture, hospitality and catering, IT, and much more.
• Support to Work or Apprenticeships: The first two pathways are designed to take one year, this third pathway is designed to be less than a year. We will support you in resitting and gaining the qualifications you need while supporting you to apply for work or apprenticeships to start as soon as possible. We will work with your new employer to support you through any more resits that you require.
