Curriculum Content Overview
Science is fundamental to the comprehension and appreciation of other subjects. Students develop a love of learning through the opportunity to discover scientific phenomena and knowledge themselves, through exceptional teaching and independent study outside the classroom. Students will be challenged to problem solve, apply their skills to other contexts and become robust, metacognitive, resilient learners that will see them grow in confidence throughout the KS3 phase. Students will be provided with a solid foundation for further study of science by embedding the core knowledge required to understand science in greater depth. With a focus on knowledge acquisition over time students are given the opportunity to question themselves, the world and the wider universe. The study of science is integral to their day to day experiences and prospects.
