Biology Olympiad
Posted on 17th Jul 2023During the Spring and Summer terms, our Year 12 and 13 A level Biologists took part in a national competition hosted by United Kingdom Biology Competitions (UKBC). The charity deliver three high-quality competitions each year, for over 60,000 student competitors.
The British Biology Olympiad (BBO) challenges and stimulates students with an interest in biology to expand and extend their talents. It enables students to demonstrate their talent and to be suitably rewarded with publicly recognised certificates and pin badges.
The students completed online exams, covering topics and ideas that they were not familiar with, ensuring that they competed with their problem solving skills and understanding of core principles.
All of our students did Attleborough Academy, and the Sixth Form proud by achieving grades from Participation through to Bronze Award.
