The concert ‘Tribute’ was held on 19 July and featured students from years 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12. The event was organised by Year 12 music students in preparation for their Events Management unit next academic year. 

There were a range of excellent performances, including ensembles, solos and duets in a range of musical styles. These performances showed the dedication to practise and the progress students had made in music over the year. The younger year groups were given the opportunity to perform for the first time, taking on the challenges of learning new instruments and performing live in front of an audience of over 100 people.   

The concert was a great success and students were able to showcase their abilities by performing songs linked to musical icons such as Abba, The Beatles and Billie Eilish. Students were truly committed to making this the best event yet, performing with confidence, high energy and supporting one another with true care. It was a great showcase of both the students’ musical talent and our Academy’s core values.
