On Thursday 14 and Friday 15 December Attleborough Academy presented the first School production since before Covid with 2 nights of singing, dancing and fun in a performance of the Junior Version of the hit West End Musical 'Matilda', written by Dennis Kelly with Music & Lyrics by Tim Minchin.

After a very successful afternoon Dress Rehearsal to Attleborough and Rosecroft pupils, our talented cast of 31 performers entertained and enchanted the audiences made up of parents and families, Academy staff, supportive students and friends and members of the local community with a committed and high energy show. It was a joy to see our students take to the boards with such confidence and deliver such a high-quality performance. They were very well supported by a committed back stage team who helped with ingenious props, wonderful costumes, stage make up, choreography and lighting and sound tech.  

Many of the cast will be staying after school on Fridays in the new year to continue with a new Show Chorus and joining in with Drama Clubs, and will be joined by other students who have been enthused by the success of Matilda. Watch this space for what’s to come next…
