Jekyll and Hyde

Posted on 29th Nov 2024

After last year’s performance of ‘A Christmas Carol’, this November we welcomed back Box Clever – this time for a production of ‘Jekyll and Hyde’. Our hall was transformed into 19th century London, complete with glowing lampposts, dark alleys, and strange laboratories.

Our Year 9, 10 and 11 students were invited to take part in the performance, donning top hats and tails, becoming part of the play and answering the big question: is Jekyll and Hyde a detective mystery or a story about man’s mental health?

At the end of the performance, students took part in a workshop, taking on the roles of Jekyll and Hyde, moulding themselves into the characters, and completing a very enthusiastic relay race before screaming at the top of their lungs.

Box Clever put on an amazing show, as always, and we look forward to their return in March for their performance of Macbeth.
